I worked in the medical field for 15 yrs, and everyone needs to read this, if you are a patient or plan to be. There are things happening behind the seens that you all should know. Im sure if you worked in the medical field you know what Im talking about, ie. Premature discharges from ICU to the Med surg floors, LTAC's are notorious for this. If you want to hear more about these nightmares let me know be happy to share, and if you know of some share them with me. People need to know medical care needs a oversight committee to monitor the hospital actions as well as treatment loads and staffing levels. Believe me hospitals are a dark place when your behing the seens.

An LTAC is a Long Term Acute Care Facility this is where hard to treat cases go, when really ill people loose insurance, or the insurance stops wanting to pay for ill people in the hositals they will pay LTACS to take care of them until they get better or they pass away, these places are really sad, because usually the latter happens, Thanks Maggs

I would be interested to hear some of your behind the scenes stories it would be helpful to me to know what an LTAC is and what country you are talking about ie USA,UK,Canada Australia we have hubbers from all over the place. Welcome to hubpages
